      Bio

Born Sebastian Philip Bierk, Sebastian Bach was raised in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. It was there, at age 14, that the singer auditioned for and joined his first band Kid Wikkid. Shortly after, he became the lead singer for the Detroit, Michigan band Madame X, but left a year later in 1987. Serendipitously, this coincided with New Jersey based Skid Row’s loss of their lead singer, Matt Fallon, and Bach was recommended for the position by the parents of John Bon Jovi (who was friends with Skid Row guitarist Dave Sabo) after seeing him perform at a wedding.

After nine years, two multi-platinum albums, and an American Music Award, Bach left Skid Row in 1996. While some sources say he was fired over disagreements about the musical direction of the band, some say he left over other band members’ refusal to open for KISS on their KISS Alive tour. Regardless, Bach’s departure opened new and compelling avenues for the gifted singer. After a disappointing run with a new group, The Last Hard Men, Bach began his solo career in 1999 with the release of Bring 'Em Bach Alive!, which contained a mix of Bach’s live performances with Skid Row as well as new material. From 2000-2002, the singer utilized his talents in acclaimed Broadway productions of Jekyll & Hyde, The Rocky Horror Show, and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Sebastian Bach began his foray into television with 2002’s Forever Wild, which saw the singer introducing hand selected music videos on VH1. In 2005, he appeared on a season of the network’s I Married… reality show, which followed him and his wife/manager Maria Aquinar. The next year, he appeared on the show Supergroup, where he, Scott Ian, Ted Nugent, Evan Seinfeld, and Jason Bonham formed the band Damnocracy. Also in 2006, Bach ended his 13 year feud with Axel Rose and went on to tour with Guns N’ Roses, as well as perform on their Chinese Democracy album.

After contributing to numerous projects by other artists, Bach returned to his solo career in 2007 with Angel Down, followed by 2011’s Kicking & Screaming and Give ‘Em Hell in 2014. In 2019, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Skid Row’s self-titled, debut album, Bach embarked on a national tour where he played the album live, in its entirety, at each tour stop.
